DJ OPEC Production Hits Four-Year Lows
Crude production from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries fell to the lowest level in more than four years in March, according to S&P Global Platts. Total production from the 14-country group fell to 30.23 million barrels per day last month, down 570,000 barrels per day from February levels. The cuts were aided by the steep decline in Venezuelan production, which plummeted to its lowest in more than 16 years, at 740,000 barrels a day in March. For OPEC's largest producer, Saudi Arabia, production fell to the lowest level since February 2017, at 9.87 million barrels per day.
