The US drilling rig count was up 1 unit to 1,060 the week ended June 1, according to Baker Hughes data. The count is up 144 units from this time a year ago when the count stood at 916.
Offshore units were unchanged from last week with 19 rigs working. A total of 1,039 rigs were drilling on land, up 3 from last week. The number of rigs drilling in inland waters was down 2 units to 2 working.
