Oil Has Moved to 'More Normal' Range After Price Crash: BP CEO
Following a "very painful restructuring" of the oil and gas industry after the price crash in 2014, the sector has moved to a "more normal, though still cyclical, oil range," BP Chief Executive Bob Dudley says at the start of International Petroleum Week in London Tuesday. "We had all begun to think that $100 oil was normal," he says of the pre-crash era. Mr. Dudley also noted that the industry was in the process of being transformed by digitization, which means the O&G business is becoming more efficient, with less capital and less manpower.
